14. Five Days of Island Life

Tonight is our last night on Isla Mujeres and I am feeling very lazy about writing. I guess I've really relaxed into Island time.  The best I can do is put together this free form list of memories:

Isla Mujeres
Sunrises, sunsets
North Beach in the sand, Punta Sur for sunrises
Instant Coffee in desperation
Run before nine or after five
La Gloria neighborhood
Riding on a motor cycle; helmet but no strap
Finding AKI store with a little help
Lots of stairs; La Joya: #4
Hammock time
Hard pillows
Two outlets
Kayaking on a windy day
Teeny tiny hermit crabs
Crabby day in paradise
Frigate Birds
LONG walks
Snorkling twice in one day
The calm of looking down
Schools of fish, black sea urchins
Hot sun, lots of sunscreen
The Joint: Margaritaville music,  children dancing, people singing along, a hamburger for him and avacado salad for me
Bastos; Arranchero asada and a baked potato, garlic shrimp
The click of geckos

North Beach

Sunset from our hotel

Taken on a long hot walk on the east side of the island...a mistake unless it is early morning or late afternoon.

Sunrise March 2, 2018, taken at Punta Sur

The moon over the Caribbean in the early morning before sunrise.

Our deck buddy.

Sunset March 2nd, 2018

The longer you watch, the prettier it gets!

I wonder if we will return to this lovely island.
