Buy Nothing Day

Are you familiar with Buy Nothing Day? Today is the 7th anniversary of Buy Nothing. So no, I am not hitting the sales. Instead it is my plan to give myself the gift of time to create. Perhaps I will paint those funky old lamps I bought last spring. But no, that would mean I would need to go to McLendons and BUY paint. On second thought maybe I will just run to the Y and exercise, come back here and put up the Christmas tree. That sounds like a plan.

Sounds like this Thanksgiving you had a well deserved rest!..after all the "stuff" at school.
I loved the post about the Painting...I would have loved to know what the child’s story was on that one!!heheehe I love how they think ..don't you?
Not shopping yesterday is a good idea. Lots of crazy people out there, at 4 in the morning, which is crazier!
Enjoy the next few days off.
By the way...one of the things I am thankful for this year is our friendship.
I don't think 5 years ago I would have thought that it was possible to "blog" and really enjoy other teacher friends the way I do!!!
So thanks:)

I'm thankful for you too, Barbara! You had better let me know if you get up 'Seattle way'.

No shopping day huh? I did not know about it but I never, ever go shopping on black friday or to think about it for the whole weekend, so I guess I have just naturally protested without even knowing it! I just do not think I could stand it. I get a little claustrophobic thinking about all the crazy crowds. I am usually just too tired anyway from all the cooking the two days before Not like Barbara getting to watch the parade while Morris cooks. Just kidding Barbara. I try to relax a bit and get the tree up before school on Monday.
